A local doctor has been accused of driving drunk five times, and now he could finally be losing his license to practice medicine because of the alleged crimes.
Dr. Kyle Robert Krueger, who has patients from all over the San Joaquin Valley and a weight loss clinic in Lodi, has had his license to practice medicine suspended. According to the Stockton Record, he has been arrested for driving under the influence at least five times.
"Five DUIs? After the first or second DUI, his license should have been revoked," said Stockton resident Ron Goehring. "I have multiple sclerosis, and if I found out my doctor had a problem like that I'd be out of there."
His latest arrest was in February, not even a month after he pleaded guilty to another DUI from November. Court documents show the 52-year-old's driver's license was suspended and he wasn't even supposed to be driving.
The Osteopathic Medical Board of California suspended Dr. Krueger's license earlier this month after a judge said allowing him to practice medicine would be endangering public health, safety and welfare.
Krueger's brother, Dr. Mark Krueger, also practiced in Lodi, and his medical license was suspended this spring as well, according to the medical board. His troubles stemmed from allegations of DUI, unprofessional conduct and suspected use of drugs or alcohol.
