Dentist Accused Of Sexual Battery

SAN JOSE (AP) ― Police have arrested a dentist suspected of fondling the breasts of a patient.

San Jose police say 56-year-old dentist Benva Lazar groped a 23-year-old woman, saying that he was screening her for breast cancer.

He was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexual battery after the patient went to police.

The woman told police that Lazar said he was concerned about his patient's health and carried out a medical-related breast exam.

Lazar is married and has two children.
