Fire Burning Near I-80 In Contra Costa County

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (CBS13) ― A brush fire is burning near home along Interstate 80 in Contra Costa County.

A car fire sparked the blaze just before noon and prompted the closure of one eastbound lane of Interstate Highway 80 near the Crockett for a short time as smoke from the fire blew into the roadway.

The fire has burned at least two acres.  Firefighters were on the ground and helicopters in the air.  Several homes are in the area.
