Gas Station Worker Accused Of Credit Card Fraud

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A former gas station employee has been arrested and charged with making thousands of dollars worth of fraudulent purchases with stolen credit cards, according to authorities.

Pavel Abraamyan, 25, was arrested Monday after a federal grand jury indicted him on several charges involving credit card theft and possession of credit card manufacturing devices. The Rancho Cordova man was allegedly recorded buying over $2,000 worth of merchandise from a Roseville Babies R' Us.

A joint investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service and the Roseville Police Department linked the victims of the fraudulent purchases to a Rocklin gas station, where Abraamyan had been employed.

Officers searched Abraamyan's home in April and allegedly found the items purchased at the store, along with a credit card reader and credit cards.

If proven guilty, Abraamyan could face up to 15 years on the fraud charges.
