Homes Evacuated Over Suspected Drug Lab

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) ― At least a dozen homes were evacuated in Citrus Heights after a confrontation with an out-of-control man led police to a possible drug lab.

Authorities responded to reports of a man swinging a baseball bat and starting fights on Saturday night. They followed the man as he darted into a home, and discovered a room that appeared to be used to make methamphetamine. Fearing an explosion, police immediately evacuated the surrounding area.

The man who led police to the find was not apprehended, and it is not yet known if he was part of the suspected drug operation. The two occupants of the house were questioned by police.
