A routine traffic stop for a minor traffic violation turned into much more when a Rocklin police officer noticed a cash register in the back seat of the vehicle.
It turns out, the cash register was stolen and the three men in the car have been arrested.
The cash register in the suspect's car had the name and address of a Rocklin business printed on the receipt roll which was still in the register. When officers went to that business, they found that it had been broken into and items had been stolen.
Rocklin police arrested 18-year-old Jordan Wolfe from Rocklin, 19-year-old Dominque Carter from North Highlands and 19-year Drew Schroers from Roseville. The three were taken to the Placer County Jail and booked for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Rocklin police say the their vehicle and descriptions match with several other recent burglaries in Placer County.
