Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Carmichael Home

About 20 firefighters knocked down the fire in about half an hour.

Fire crews mopped up a two-alarm blaze that injured at least one person and triggered a hazmat alert.
The Sacramento Metro Fire Department said the fire broke out Sunday night on the 3700 block of Wingate Drive, consuming the single-story home's garage and much of the rest of the structure.
Captain Christian Pebbles said off-duty firefighter Josh Leonard was near the home when the fire started and helped evacuate all the residents and pets from the home.
One woman suffered minors burns and was transported to a local hospital.
