Car Slams Into Sacramento Rite Aid Store
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
A pickup truck slammed into the front of an East Sacramento Rite Aid store this
morning in an attempted burglary, according to authorities.
Shattered glass and twisted metal littered the front of the store on Folsom Boulevard near 57th Street. The truck, with two suspects inside, backed up rapidly into the store, leaving a gaping hole.
Police believe the thieves may have been trying to steal an ATM inside the store. The machine was bolted into the ground, and surveillance video shows the suspects getting back into the car and leaving empty-handed.
Officers are still investigating.
