Firefighters have contained a small wildfire in a remote area of the Sierra foothills.
The blaze is about 80 miles northeast of Sacramento. The U.S. Forest Service says it burned about 30 acres of land before being fully contained by about 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Forest Service was monitoring the blaze overnight.
The fire was in a heavily forested area about five miles from the small town Camptonville in Yuba County. No structures were at risk.
The cause was unknown, although there may have been lightning strikes in the area earlier in the week.
