Small Quakes Rattle California-Mexico Border
CALEXICO (AP) ―
A magnitude-4.0 earthquake has shaken part of the southeastern California region bordering Baja California.
The California Integrated Seismic Network says the quake occurred at 11:27 a.m. PST on Monday and was centered nine miles west-southwest of the U.S. city of Calexico, or 10 miles west of the Mexican city of Mexicali.
The quake occurred at a depth of four miles.
A number of smaller quakes occurred before and after the 4.0.
