Broken Water Main Floods South Sacramento Streets
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Not a drop of rain fell overnight, but residents of a south Sacramento neighborhood woke up to serious street flooding.
Roads in and around Latana Road near 44th and Fruitridge had several inches of water on them this morning. Cars parked on the streets had water up to the floorboards.
The flooding was triggered by a water main break and clogged drains.
The Highway Patrol and Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies blocked off several streets in the area as crews worked to fix the break and clear the drains.
Cars parked on the streets had water up to the floorboards. Residents in the area were without water service.
It's unclear how long it will take to clear it up.
