Body Found On I-80 In Roseville Identified
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) ―
The woman whose body was found on Interstate 80 in Roseville this morning has been identified.
The body found about 4:30am near the Atlantic Street onramp has been identified as 46-year-old Vickie Janell Scott of Grass Valley.
Exactly how Scott got onto to the freeway is a mystery. Investigators do know Scott was hit by a vehicle and thrown at least 200 feet.
It's unknown if she was a pedestrian or got out of a car or was thrown out of a car at some point.
Investigators are looking for witnesses who may have been driving in the area earlier this morning.
"A lot of people don't think they're a witness when they see a lot more than they do," said CHP officer Michael Mathis. "Perhaps they drove by and didn't recognize what they saw. Maybe they saw a vehicle hit their brakes or swerved. Maybe they have information such as that."
If you have any information on the case, you are urged to call CHP or Roseville Police.
