City Leaders Keep Bicycle Ban On K Street Mall
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Caltrans is doing everything they can to help vehicle commuters avoid the stress of the Big Fix, but for bicycle commuters things might be getting dicey as well.
Sacramento City leaders decided the bicycle ban will remain in place on the 'K' Street mall during I-5 Big Fix project.
Riding a bike is prohibited on 'K' Street because of the light rail tracks and pedestrians. Police officers say they don't have the resources in place to ensure cyclists safety.
Today the city will try and come up with a compromise.
