Baby Found Abandoned In Chico
CHICO (AP) ―
A baby was found abandoned but unharmed in Chico on Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office says a person found the six-to-nine month old baby boy on Estates Drive, and took the child to the Butte Creek Country Club and called authorities.
The baby had no signs of injury or sickness. The boy has blond hair and blue eyes, and was wearing blue pants with baseball symbols and a blue shirt with Tigger from Winnie the Pooh on it.
Authorities say they have located a relative of the child, but the boy will remain in the custody of Children Services until the investigation concludes.
