Couple Arrested After Toddlers Found Wandering

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A Sacramento mother and father have been arrested after their two toddler daughters were found wandering around their apartment complex, according to Sacramento Police.

Officers arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Liberti and 23-year-old Antoinette Liberti.  The two were arrested after officer were called to an apartment complex on San Juan Road after getting a call about two children wandering around crying. 

Officers eventually found their father who had no idea where his children were and who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.  Officers searched his apartment and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

While officers were still at the apartment complex, the mother arrived.  Officers say she was also in possession of meth.

The Libertis are both charged with child endangerment and possession of methamphetamine.
