One of the region's largest employers has announced it's laying off dozens of workers.

Rancho Cordova-based Aerojet says it will be laying off 100 people in 60 days.

Aerojet officials say the move is part of its re-evaluation of programs and projects.

The company employs 1,600 people in the Sacramento area.
