Police have detained two suspects in Yuba City after a shot was reportedly fired in the 900 block of Shasta Street.

Authorities surrounded a home where a 60-year-old male and an adult female were detained after a shot was fired outside the residence.

According to police, the two came out of the home peacefully.

Yuba City Police officers are working on getting a search warrant to investigate inside the residence.

The Yuba City SWAT team arrived on scene at 3 p.m., and the street was barricaded off to traffic and pedestrians. Neighbors were also evacuated to secure their safety.

No injuries were reported.
