Family and friends came together for one night to remember a Sacramento man who died after clinging to life in the hospital.
Satendar Singh was beaten at Lake Natoma on July 1. His loved ones are calling it a hate crime. Investigators have spoken with witnesses but have not been able to identify any members of the Russian group with which the verbal and physical fights took place.
During the vicious beating, Singh was punched in the face and his head was smashed into the ground, possibly because of his ethnicity.
Singh came to this country from Fiji seven years ago. Friends say that Singh lived everyday like it would be his last. But they never thought this could be the end.
