A Sacramento Police officer has been arrested on domestic violence charges, according to the Galt Police Department.
Bryan David Weinrich, 23, was arrested at his Roseville home Thursday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Galt police received a call on Thursday at 11:30 p.m. from a woman who said her boyfriend, Weinrich, had physically assaulted her after they got into an argument. She also says he brandished a gun.
The victim said the next morning, Weinrich came back to her home and the two left in his vehicle to drive to his home in Roseville, but on the way, they got into another argument. She claims she tried to get out of the vehicle at a Roseville intersection, but says Weinrich wouldn't let her go, physically retraining her against her will.
Weinrich was arrested without incident at his home and taken to the Galt Police Department. He was later booked into the Sacramento County Jail where he now faces charges of corporal injury to a spouse/co-inhabitant, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and brandishing a firearm.
