There's a mounting mystery over a missing tombstone in Sacramento County.
What if you found a tombstone from 1800 on the side of the road? It's the last thing you'd expect to find on someone's property, unless they lived in a cemetery.
This is a 300-pound piece of history, and now the man who found it just wants to get it back to where it belongs.
A few yards from a country road, you'll see a tree that appears to be protecting a tombstone from the 1800s.
Brent Gilming has stared at the inscription on the headstone many times after he found it on the side of a Sacramento road.
"I was just going to move it off to the side of the road so nobody hit it, and then I discovered that it was actually a headstone," said Gilming. "I thought 'what a shame that something as old as this, it's112 years old.' And it's a shame it ends up all dirty."
He brought the stone to his Rio Linda home and didn't know what to do with it until he saw our recent report on headstones that went missing after graves were moved to make room for a school.
Brent said that he wants to give to the headstone back to the city, but not before he finds out about the history of John B. Wright, the name on the headstone.
We looked for a death certificate of Wright in Sacramento County, but couldn't locate it. So, the mystery continues.
