Turlock Cop And Teacher Arrested On Sex Charges

A Turlock Police officer and a Turlock teacher were arrested today on sex charges.
Thursday morning, the Turlock Police Department received a call from a concerned mother of a 17-year-old girl that attended Pitman High School in Turlock.
She expressed concern about the relationship that her daughter had with one of her teachers, Carl Kubicek, 35. After police investigated, Kubicek was arrested and charged on multiple counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a juvenile and multiple counts of oral copulation over the last several months.
Police are expressing that this was an isolated incident and students that attend Pitman High School should not be concerned.
During the same investigation, the Turlock Police Department is saddened to say that the same 17-year-old victim was sexually assaulted by one of their officers, Officer Jorge Cruz, while participating in the "Turlock Police Department Explorer Program."
Cruz was then arrested on counts of rape, sodomy, and kidnapping charges and has also been placed on administrative leave. His bail is currently $50,000.
