Police Take Down Stockton Based Drug Operation
STOCKTON (CBS13) ―
The feds went undercover into a Mexican mob to bust a major drug trafficking organization. More than a dozen people are now under arrest.
The Drug bust took place across California. In Stockton, Modesto, Tracy, Oakland, and Los Angeles, 150 officers served 27 search warrants.
Officers recovered 31 pounds of cocaine, 14 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, two pounds of heroin, four handguns and $25,000 in cash. The street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1.7 million, according to police.
"This sophisticated drug ring served up a smorgasbord of illegal drugs that were destined for drug users throughout the Stockton area," said DEA ASAC Gordon Taylor. "These arrests and seizures have toppled this organization and should have a positive impact within the local communities."
