Plane Flipped At Cameron Park Airport
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Two men who were flying a plane accidently flipped the aircraft after practicing touch and go landings at Cameron Park Airport, according to authorities.
The two men landed the aircraft and as it touched down on the runway to throttle up again a gust of wind caught the plane. The front tire allegedly dug into the grass and flipped the plane over, according to El Dorado County Sheriff's.
The two men suffered minor injuries, but neither were taken to receive medical attention.
Airport officials say the plane is far enough off the runway and the airport will remain open.
The NTSB will conduct an investigation Friday.
