Woodland police say they've broken open the case of a possible police impostor.
Police were called out to a Woodland Round Table Pizza Thursday night where they arrested 40-year-old Matthew Patton for public drunkenness. But now police say his arrest could be big because, they allegedly found a loaded gun on him. They also say they found a police radio, a PA system and working police lights in his truck -- all signs that Patton could be impersonating a police officer.
Police say they also searched Patton's home and found stolen city property, ammunition, a silencer and tracer rounds.
Now authorities say that they need the public's help to see how far he may have taken the charade.
Patton ahs been charged with four felony counts including possession of stolen property, a concealed weapon, and ammunition charges.
Authorities are asking for people who may have had a run-in with Patton to come forward.
