Eminent Domain Battle In Downtown Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― It's the last resort, but a vote this week could be the only way to bring some life to the boarded up buildings on K Street in downtown Sacramento.

The city council plans to vote to seize nine commercial properties on K Street by eminent domain.

The storefronts near the downtown mall have sat empty while the city and property owners have failed to agree on a solution.

The city will vote on the issue at Tuesday's council meeting.
