Sex on the beach is now being promoted on Craigslist. An ad is apparently telling people that a beach along the American River is a hot spot for "Internet rendezvous."

Just outside of Auburn along the American River, you will find the perfect place to be one with nature; it's just that now, it's a place that some want to be two with nature.

In fact, according to the Auburn Journal, many have been turning to Craigslist to initiate encounters at the site that are less about fun in the sun and more about romantic encounters.

"Not good if you have kids around," says one Auburn resident.

It's a stretch of the river where hikers are common, tan lines are not, and now, inhibitions don't seem to be either.

Last year, CBS13 went to the same stretch of the American River because many were just sunbathing naked under the assumption that it was safe to do so.

According to the Auburn Journal, police have broken up open-air public displays of affection before, and even the sunbathing there without clothes isn't legal, but no arrests have been made for either.
