Amber Frey May Lose Clovis Home
CLOVIS (AP) ―
Amber Frey, the former mistress of convicted wife-killer Scott Peterson, may lose her Clovis home after falling behind on mortgage payments.
Fresno County records show Frey -- who testified against Peterson as the prosecution's star witness during his double murder trial -- was more than $16,000 behind in payments on her $539,000-house by May. Frey took out a $431,000 loan three years ago to buy the home.
Frey's affair with Peterson fell apart when she found out his pregnant wife, Laci, had disappeared and was the subject of a massive search.
She wrote a book about her part in the trial and opened a day spa and massage salon last year.
Peterson remains on death row.
