Elk Grove AAA Call Center Slated To Close

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― One of elk grove's largest employers is closing its doors.

The triple "A" call center on west Taron drive will shut down by 2010.

Five hundred people will lose their jobs, and about a thousand jobs will be eliminated statewide as call centers throughout the state are closed.

The company says the high cost of conducting business in California is one reason for the closures.
