$25,000 Reward Offered In 1986 Cold Case
RESCUE, Calif. (CBS13) ―
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department is offering thousands of dollars for information that helps determine who killed an elderly man outside his son's home more than 20 years ago.
Authorities say investigators have been chasing leads for 23 years, but have not been able to identify the murderer of Haley Wing, 76. Wing was gunned down while checking out a possible burglary at his son's house in Rescue in 1986.
The Sheriff's department is offering $25,000 to tipsters whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Wing's murder.
Any tips will be kept confidential, authorities said.
