Crowds Ready To Roll For Annual Rose Parade
PASADENA (AP) ―
Thousands of people are gearing up for an overnight stay in Pasadena to watch tomorrow's Tournament of Roses parade.
As of noon, visitors are being allowed to stake out sidewalk space with sleeping bags and chairs.
Meanwhile, volunteers are working until the last minute of some of the 41 flower-covered floats that will roll down Colorado Boulevard.
The National Weather Service predicts sunny weather for the annual event, which is televised around the globe.
The theme of the 121st parade is "A Cut Above the Rest" and the grand marshal this year is Chesley Sullenberger, the pilot who landed a stricken jetliner in New York's Hudson River.
