Hudgens 'On Board' For 'High School Musical

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Vanessa Hudgens told People she is excited about the possibility of High School Musical 3. Hudgens, 18, said, "To do a third one for the big screen, I can't begin to think how much fun we'll have."

The actors' contracts are still being negotiated for the threequel. Hudgen's boyfriend and co-star Zac Efron has stated he would return pending the quality of the script. Hudgens is not discouraged and said, while "only a few people have actually signed the contracts ... We're all definitely on board."

A total of 17.2 million viewers tuned in to see High School Musical 2 on the Disney Channel last August, making the program the most watched basic cable telecast ever.
