Four people accused of torturing a teen in Tracy were back in cour today, but none entered a plea in the case.
Michael Schumacher and his wife, Kelly Lau, Caren Ramirez and Anthony Waiters all went before a judge for arraignment.
The boy escaped from a house owned by Schumacher and Lau on Dec. 1 and sought help at a nearby gym. He was only wearing boxer shorts, and his filthy body covered with bruises and blood.
Tracy police believe the teen was held captive and severely abused for more than a year. At times he was authorities say was chained to a fireplace, beaten with a baseball bat, burned and starved, according to court documents.
The four suspects will be back in court February 2.
