A thief dubbed the 'Skateboard Bandit' has eluded capture after at least two recent bank robberies and law enforcement is asking for help in identifying him.
The man is suspected in two Wells Fargo bank robberies last Saturday and was seen leaving from at least one of the banks on skateboard. The first bank was on Madison Avenue in Sacramento and the second bank on Gold River Drive. Deputies say the suspect gave bank tellers in both robberies a note claiming he had a gun and demanding money.
The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras at both banks. He's described as an Asian male, 20 to 30 years old, 5'5" to 5'8" tall, and weighing between 135 and 145 pounds. He has black hair and was wearing glasses, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a black tee shirt, a black beanie with a brim, and black cotton gloves with the fingers cut off at the knuckles.
If anyone has information on the 'Skateboard Bandit' they are asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
