Disturbing new details have emerged about the Sacramento State University student accused of killing his dorm mate.
Quran Jones is accused of killing his roommate Scott Hawkins in an attack in their dorm room at Sacramento State University on October 21. According to a case synopsis from Sacramento Police, witnesses and campus officers said Jones was seen holding a knife to his own face, and repeatedly hitting himself in the head with the same bat he allegedly used to murder his roommate. They say he had a "crazed look" in his eyes, and that his tongue was hanging out during the entire ordeal. They also report hearing grunting noises coming from the dorm room, along with loud banging sounds from the bat.
Jones left a note reading: "If Quran Muhammad Jones ever dies He Quran Muhammad Jones orders you to put his body in an incinerator so that every atom of his body is burned Away Thank you."
According to the officer who rode with Quran Jones in the ambulance, after he was shot by campus police, Jones said:
Officer: "What is your name?"
Jones: "Jerome"
Officer: "Who is the other guy?"
Jones: "My roommate."
Officer: "What happened?"
