Tires Slashed, Cars Tagged In Rocklin Crime Spree
ROCKLIN (CBS13) ―
More than a dozen Rocklin residents woke up this morning to find their car tires slashed and spray painted after vandals went on an overnight crime spree.
Rocklin Police say they got a report of a truck with its tires slashed in the parking lot of the Denny's restaurant on Rocklin Road just after midnight.
A little more than an hour later, a resident of the Rockling Manor Apartments, also on Rocklin Road, called saying their motorcycle had been knocked over and spray painted.
Officers and residents then found more than a dozen more vehicles that had been targeted by the vandals. All had their tires slashed and had been spray painted.
One witness described seeing two people wearing dark clothing in the area during the crime spree.
Rocklin Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything in the area of Rocklin Road during the early morning hours to call the station at 916-625-5443.
Rocklin police say that each case of vandalism could be a felony if it costs more than $400.00 to repair.
