Sacramento Middle School Fire Ruled As Arson

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― The destructive fire that tore through a Sacramento middle school last Saturday night is being called arson by the Sacramento Fire Department.

The two-alarm blaze broke out around 10:43 p.m. Saturday night at Leonardo Da Vinci Middle School in Sacramento, causing serious damage to the building and expensive computer equipment.

The damage is estimated at $50,000 to $75,000.

Investigators urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the school or any person(s) on the roof of the school near the time of the fire, to contact the Sacramento Fire Department Arson Tip Line at (916) 808-8732. You can remain anonymous.
