Body Found Near Del Oro High Identified

LOOMIS, Calif. (CBS13) ― Authorities have identified the body of a woman found Thursday on Del Oro High School grounds.

The body of Carsha Rene Smith, 20, of Del Paso Heights was found near Boyington Rd. at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, say deputies. A woman who was walking in the area discovered the body and flagged down a passing motorist who then contacted the Placer County Sheriff's Dept.

There are no obvious signs of trauma to the victim's body. An autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine Smith's cause of death.

Anyone with information relating to this case is asked to call the Placer County Sheriff's Dept. at 530-886-5375.
