Sac Deputies Follow Blood Trail To Body In Trunk

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle found blood leaking from the car and a man's body in the trunk.

Deputies got the call just after 7:30 this morning about the suspicious vehicle parked on 40th Street.  When they investigated the 1996 Ford Taurus, they saw what appeared to be blood leaking from the trunk.  When they opened it, they found the body of a man believed to be in his mid-to-late 20's.

Sheriff's Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.  They are trying to figure out how the victim died and his identity.
