Police May Have Link In Serial Stabbing Cases

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― The Sacramento Police Department is hunting for a suspect in at least four random stabbings near Del Paso Boulevard.  Now, police have linked those tabbing to two more that happened two years ago.

Both of the stabbings took place in 2006, within the same area as the recent stabbings.  Authorities want to stress the fact that although it is possible the 2006 incidents may be attributable to the suspect, the connection is not definite.

Police say each victim was stabbed once in the upper chest by the suspect as he rode by without a word. All of the attacks occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. near Del Paso Boulevard between Arden Way and El Camino Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, age 22-29, between 5'7" and 5'10" and approximately 170 pounds. The knife he uses is described as a 6" long with a black handle.

None of the victims have been severely injured in the attacks. Callers can anonymously report tips on the suspect at (916) 443-HELP.
