Man Wanted In Massage Parlor Heist Surrenders
SAN RAFAEL (AP) ―
A man wanted in connection with a Christmas Eve robbery and a kidnapping at a Marin County massage parlor has turned himself in to authorities.
A San Rafael police spokeswoman says Douglas Patterson is being held after surrendering Tuesday to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
The 31-year-old Patterson has been wanted since two men walked in to the New Day Health Center massage parlor and robbed three employees at gunpoint around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24.
The men forced one of the employees into a car and fled.
The 37-year-old woman was dropped off about an hour later unhurt.
The incident was caught on tape by surveillance cameras at the massage studio, with the videos being widely broadcast.
Police are still looking for the second man.
