Call Kurtis: Wal-Mart Listings
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Whether you're looking for used furniture or trying to sell an old car, chances are you're going to the most popular online classifieds site, Craigslist.
But now, there's competition. A Wal-Mart spokesperson says Wal-Mart.com Classifieds is a free service offering 130 million weekly Wal-Mart shoppers a way to connect, providing them with products and services they can't get in Wal-Mart stores. For instance, a local "dog-walker" or a "used mattress."
Here's what Cresencio Ortega searches for online.
"Tires, rims for cars, auto parts through Craigslist," says Cresencio.
Put the sire to the test and you'll find all of those items on Wal-Mart.com Classifieds.
"Sure why not? Everyone's trying to save money. If there is a new way to do it I'd try it," explains Cresencio.
Greta Moss says "no thanks." She just doesn't see Wal-Mart as a community gathering place. So, she packs up Father's Day cookout supplies with no desire to go online for that used BBQ.
"It's just that it's Wal-Mart and they have monopoly on everything. I do shop here a lot, but I'm not so sure to go as far as going on line," says Greta.
