Call Kurtis: Arden Hills Wedding

Garry and Cindy Kiyama were married on August 16th at Arden Hills Country Club.
Garry says, "we lucked out because it wasn't too hot, and we had it in the afternoon. We had it around noon time".

The cost of the wedding was around $15,000, but it included everything from the ceremony to the reception.
"Everything went fine. Everybody was saying it was great and they had enough food to eat. The food was good. The service was good, no complaints." Except one complaint, from the bride and groom, they were overcharged a $150.00 security fee. Cindy told us, "the security fee is for after 10pm, any event at night time. But day time there's no charge".
Cindy says she told the Arden Hills Wedding Coordinator. She promised a refund with two weeks. But two weeks later there still was no check. "I was really frustrated so I told my husband Garry what's going on, and then he started calling almost every single day." Garry finally sent an email and got a response. He says Arden Hills told him, "sorry about the inconvenience and miscommunication. We'll get you a check in a few days". But still no check, frustrated and tired of waiting, Garry contacted us. "Once they got your money for the event and its over with they just wash their hands of it."
We called Arden Hills. James the Banquet Manager assured us they had every intention of refunding the Kiyama's, and would put a c heck in the mail. But Garry says "I won't be satisfied until I have it in my hand".
A week went by and the Kiyama's were still waiting, so we called Arden Hills again. James was surprised the Kiyama's never received the refund and we figured out why. Turns out they sent the check to the wrong address. Garry told us, "so it's just been a miscommunication from them not responding to us which led to frustration at our end".
Because of the address confusion, the Kiyama's wound up stopping by Arden Hills and picking up their check today. They are very happy to have this resolved, and look forward to enjoying their new life together.
