No Remains Found In New Search For Christie Wilson

The Christie Wilson Case

NEVADA CITY (CBS13) ― Authorities renewed the search for the body of missing woman Christie Wilson in Nevada County, but were unable to locate any remains.

The Placer County Sheriff's Department conducted the search in the Scott's Flat Lake area near Nevada City, a place frequented by Mario Garcia, the man convicted of her murder.

At about 4:00 p.m. Sunday, investigators finished the search. No evidence or remains were found, authorities said.

Wilson was last seen with Garcia on security video showing her leaving the Thunder Valley Casio with Garcia in 2005.

No specific evidence indicated that Wilson's body is in the area, said authorities. Water levels are low enough to provide searchers access to shorelines and other areas exposed at the time of her disappearance.
