The older brother of AL MVP Dustin Pedroia has been charged with molesting a child, according to a published report.

The Sacramento Bee says Brett Philip Pedroia, 30, was arrested Jan. 9 in Woodland, California on two counts of oral copulation and lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

All of the charges are felonies. Bail was set at $50,000, reports CBS station WBZ-TV in Boston.

The alleged acts occurred about four years ago, but the victim only recently told his parents, who contacted authorities, according to a news release from Woodland Police.

The Pedroia family lives in Woodland, a Sacramento suburb. They also have a tire business there.
