Tyler Hansbrough has shot the North Carolina Tar Heels into the Final Four.
Hansbrough scored 20 of his 28 points in the second half as the Tar Heels beat Louisville 83-73 to win the East Regional. Hansbrough shot 12-for-17 and grabbed 13 rebounds to help the Tar Heels get to the national semifinals for the first time since winning the championship 3 years ago.
North Carolina blew a 12-point halftime lead and were tied at 59 before Hansbrough scored the next 5 points on a layup, a jumper and a free throw.
Wayne Ellington finished with 13 points, and Tyler Lawson added 11 points and nine assists as the Tar Heels improved to 36-and-2.
Jerry Smith had a team-high 13 points for the Cardinals, who shot 52 percent but committed 19 turnovers.
UNC is in the Final Four for the 17th time. The Tar Heels will face the winner of Sunday's game between Davidson and Kansas.
