Buy It And Try It: MicroForce

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Isham Hodges is the smiling face who greets people when they come to work out at California Family Fitness in Natomas, and he's got a couple days of scruff.

The MicroForce is supposed to work wet or dry for the closes and most comfortable shave ever.

"I like shaving, I like having a real close, clean shave, makes you feel good, makes you feel clean," Isham says.

I handed him my MicroForce, which is smaller than a credit card. First he tries it dry, using a window as his mirror.

"That's surprisingly smooth," he says. "That's pretty good, I'm impressed."

We challenge him to shave half his face, but he soon realizes it's going to take a while.

"There's certainly scraggly hairs," he says. "It's not worth trying 15 times to get it."

He gives up. Just like the infomercial, we drop it into a cup of water, and it's still running.

Isham's going to try a wet shave. He jumps into the pool and shaves for several minutes.

"It doesn't feel like it's worked at all," he says. "It's quite stubbly."

Now he tries the shave fully submerged, as seen in the infomercial. Twenty-six seconds later, not much progress.

"My skin feels a little smooth underneath, but I still have hair above it."

Isham says it may be good for a dry shave while traveling, but "it doesn't seem to work wet."

I paid $19.95 and bought it from AsSeenOnTVGuys.com
