Interstate 5 Open After Morning Big Rig Crash
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Interstate 5 in South Sacramento has finally reopened after a big rig crashed through the center divide near Seamas Ave. and ended up flipped into the northbound lanes.
The truck was traveling southbound this morning when the driver lost control and crashed through the center divide ending in the northbound lanes. One of the truck's 55 gallon gas tanks was crushed as it went over the median spilling fuel in the roadway.
The driver of the truck was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
It took several hours to clean the fuel spill, upright and off-load the truck, fix the median and clear the roadway.
