SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
The building that housed Mayor Kevin Johnson's 2008 campaign headquarters has partially collapsed following a violent crash this afternoon that injured three people, including a former Sacramento Monarchs basketball player.
Part of the building came crumbling down at around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday after two vehicles a Volvo wagon and an ICEE delivery truck collided, sending the truck into the building. The Volvo was sent crashing into a patio table and chairs where it struck former WNBA star,
Danielle Viglione. She sustained minor injuries.
Drivers of both vehicles also suffered minor injuries.
The building was vacant at the time, but a search dog was sent inside to check for possible victims.
The building was built in the 1920's un-reinforced brick. The driver of the truck has been identified as Timothy Arias.
