Stefanie Cruz
E-mail Stefanie Stefanie helped launch the weekend edition of Good Day in September 2004. Prior to that, Stefanie served as anchor and reporter for WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut. In the days following Sept. 11th, Stefanie was sent to Ground Zero to report on the relief and recovery efforts.
Stefanie got her start in Yuma, Arizona. She started the Imperial Valley bureau at KSWT-TV. There, she had the opportunity to report on life along and south of the border. Stefanie then moved to the Quad Cities and reported for KWQC-TV, where she met her husband Jason Shoultz. They have a young son and are happy to be back in Northern California.
As a member of the community outreach committee for My Sister's House, Stefanie helps Sacramento's only domestic violence shelter for Asian Pacific Islander women. Stefanie has also enjoyed running in several Sacramento-area races including: the Cowtown half and the Shamrock half marathons.
Stefanie is the author of the children's book Delta & Dawn: Mother & Baby Whales' Journey. She was inspired when she covered the whales' two-week journey in the Sacramento River.
