R.E Graswich
E-mail R.E. After a celebrated 35-year newspaper career, R.E. Graswich reinvented himself in 2007. The columnist and reporter quit the Sacramento Bee and turned to broadcast journalism, joining the team at KOVR for a nightly news segment titled "The Scoop." The feature is a TV extension of the popular "around town" column Graswich wrote for a decade.
The veteran reporter also touches on sports issues, drawing from his 25 years of experience as a sportswriter. Graswich continues his writing with a monthly column in Sacramento magazine, where he also writes a blog.
Graswich, who was born in San Francisco and attended local schools, is married to Elizabeth Graswich, communications director for the Elk Grove Unified School District. The couple lives in Sacramento with two sons, William and Robert.
